Sustainable sourcing
Responsible Frankincense Sourcing from the Horn of Africa
Managed harvesting, traceability toward origin, and fairer trade with harvesting communities.
Responsible sourcing
Harvesting that protects the trees and the trade
Boswellia and Commiphora populations can face pressure from over-tapping. Responsible sourcing is not only an ethical position — it supports the long-term future of the trade for the harvesting communities that depend on it.
We work directly with harvesting communities and aim to manage tapping intensity carefully: resting trees between seasons and working with the natural exudation cycle. Because we operate across collection, sorting and export ourselves, we can trace resin back toward its harvesting area and support more transparent trade at origin.

Our approach
Principles we source by
Tapping intensity managed to help protect long-term tree health; trees rested between seasons.
Working to trace resin back toward its harvesting area, with lot numbers carried through to shipment.
Working directly with harvesting communities to support more transparent trade.
Mindful of the fragile highland ecosystems the resin and communities depend on.
Building relationships with the harvesters who sustain the supply.
Applying the same indicative standard across lots, confirmed per shipment.
